IMAGINE HAVING A STYLE-SAVVY FRIEND YOU TRUST TO HELP YOU MAKE SMART DECISIONS AND TAKE THE GUESSWORK OUT OF DESIGNING YOUR HOME.
Kate is the Owner and Principal Designer of Kate Bendewald Interior Design (KBID). She and her team believe in providing a thoughtful full-service design experience for discerning clientele that appreciate great design and recognize the value of experience KBID provides.
A Texas-native, Kate recently found herself back in the Lone Star State after a nearly decade long stint in Denver.
Kate fell in love with Interior Design at a young age and was strongly influenced by her mother who was well known as a “Weekend Designer”. She tagged along to help her mother design for friends and scour antique markets. They moved often growing up, but each move was treated as a fresh opportunity to design and create a new space. Every home had a few quirks, but each one told a story. That’s how Kate began to see stories in every home, and now she enjoys telling the stories of others through their homes.
A design career was a natural fit for Kate. She graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Interior Design and began working for a high-end residential design firm in Austin Texas. After relocating to Denver, Colorado, she enjoyed designing commercial environments at OZ Architecture. Projects included the Denver Children's Museum Renovation, The Rose Andom Center, Victory Ranch in Utah, and 250 Columbine, a luxury highrise in the heart of Cherry Creek.
After the birth of her first daughter, Kate launched her own business (formerly Studio 7 Creative) with the goal of working with discerning clients wanting to create a unique home of their own. Her business quickly grew serving clients from Alaska to South Carolina - many repeat clients - that not only love how she translates their ideas into reality, but also elevates the process into a true experience.
Now back in Texas, Kate is serving clients in the Waco, Woodway, and Austin areas that are looking for a true full-service design experience.
