The full-service experience is…

#1 Bespoke

Made especially for you

  • We support local and global artisans, makers, and artists to craft meaningful elements throughout your home.

  • We work with high-quality American-made furniture companies to design one-of-a-kind upholstered pieces for everyday living.

  • We believe the best interiors include an artful mix of personal mementos, with vintage and antique items for a layered, timeless look.

#2 Personal

Designed with you

  • We believe thoughtful (and sometimes humorous) design can enhance how you live, work, and play.

  • We take a story-driven approach to design. Our aim is to first understand who you are, how you live, and what your home is meant to be.

  • We use history as the jumping-off point for inspiration while looking to the future for a home that will stand the test of time.

#3 White Glove

Done for you

  • We take the stress off your plate, so you can focus on your life while we carry out the fulfillment process.

  • We work hand-in-hand with your architect, builder, or contractor to oversee the details. (And we’re obsessed with the details)

  • We provide concierge-level procurement including climate-controlled storage and streamlined white-glove delivery to ensure the best possible experience for all of our clients.

The KBID Design Process

Full-Service Interior Design is our signature service for homeowners seeking concept-to-completion support for new construction and renovations, furnishings, art curation, and personalized styling services.

We aim to provide you with a concierge-level experience so you can focus on your day-to-day life and work.

Here’s how we work.

Kate Bendewald Interior Design

Phase 1 | Concept Design

During the Concept Design Phase, we take the time to understand the unique needs of your lifestyle and project goals.

This includes shaping the overall look and feel, ensuring optimal functionality, and thoughtfully allocating your project investment for maximum impact.

From there, we’ll translate your design vision into a detailed strategy, which you'll have the opportunity to review and approve before moving forward.

Phase 2 | Design Development

During the Design Development Phase, we develop every detail to create a comprehensive design plan. This includes preparing detailed drawings, designing custom built-ins, specifying all finishes, and curating furnishings, lighting, and art.

We’ll coordinate with your architect or builder to ensure the overall plan remains cohesive with the project goals.

We also work closely with our network of trusted tradespeople to gather project quotes for everything that will make your space uniquely yours.

Finally, we’ll present the detailed plan for final approval.

Phase 3 | Implementation

In the Implementation Phase, we will work closely with other team members including contractors, architects, trades, and vendors to ensure your project stays on track.

While construction takes place, we will oversee the procurement of furnishings, lighting, art, and accessories.

To ensure the best experience for our clients, we rely on our centralized warehouse where all items will be shipped, received, inspected, and safely stored until it’s time for the final installation and reveal.

You can rest easy knowing we’re handling the intricacies, allowing you to stay focused on what matters most—your work and life.
